1. What kind of heads do you use?
We use a private brand single-ply Mylar head that we have found works exceptionally well with our print process and helps keep our retail prices reasonable. FYI: An example of a Private Brand would be like the tires you buy at Sears, that have the same tread pattern & similar mileage rating as a Goodyear tire but cost less because they don't say Goodyear on the side.
2. Can I request a specific brand of head like Evans or Remo?
Yes, we can usually get any brand or size of head you request but they can add $20-$30 to your order and since they're not in stock it will take longer to complete your order. Keep in mind even if you're partial to let's say, Remo Emperor heads, a Emperor head was not designed to have one of our graphics on it so it won't necessarily sound like the standard Emperor once we're done with it. Trust us on this, we've shipped hundreds upon hundreds of heads worldwide and we have had zero issues related to the sound of the head.
3. How durable is the graphic on my custom head?
Durable enough to be hung on a pole out in the weather for about 3-5 years. Technically the graphic should outlast the head's useful life. They're durable enough to withstand your guitar player spilling his beer on it.
4. Can you custom cut the mic port wherever I want?
Yes, within reason. We use a mechanical hole cutting device that we can adjust from 2" to 6" and we supply the Holex reinforcement ring to protect them after they are cut. We can even do multiple holes.
5. I have a double bass kit, is there a quantity discount?
Always. If you buy more than one item we always give some sort of discount. Just shoot us an email and we will place a custom cart button in the Online Payment Center for your package order.
5. Can I use my own design?
Yes. As long as your artwork will withstand the stretch to 20" or more you're good to go. We can take several versions of vector art files or full size raster images. Email us if you have any artwork related questions.
5. Can Cazdude Designs create a design for me?
Yes. It's what we do, digital art or sketch work, we can do it. We do require payment in advance before we begin the proofing process.
